Tennessee Walking Horses are appreciated and loved for their smooth gaits, gentle disposition and versatility. All our walking horses have excellent bloodlines and are registered with the TWHBEA. They are sound, well mannered, gaited (flat walk, running walk, lope) and move with style and grace.

Madera Hills Walkers are light shod and trained with natural horsemanship methods and ridden in the rugged hills of the Davis Mountain area. All of the Walkers have gentle dispositions, excellent gaits, ground manners and bloodlines.Special attention is given in training to responsiveness to leg pressure and body weight shifts for forward motion, stopping, turning, side passing, etc. for practical use in trail riding and ranch work. This allows for a soft mouth and a light rein. All trailer load easily.

Tennessee Walkers are known for their gentle disposition and smooth 4-beat gaits. At Madera Hills we want to add to these qualities a more athletic confirmation and ability for versatility, along with a pretty head (smaller than that of most Walkers) Our stallion and mares have been selected for these purposes.
